A CU Medicine provider.
My goal is to provide excellent care for my patients as they continue to age. I believe in treating patients on their physiologic age, not chronological age. Aging affects us all differently, so we must seek to care for the patient as an individual, not a number. I believe in the importance of living an active lifestyle to prevent falls and promote active aging. I also believe in limiting the amount of medications we prescribe our patients. When we have to prescribe a medication, I strive to find the most effective medication with the fewest side effects. Finally, I think it is vital I understand the story of my patients. Understanding your history, passions, support systems, and values is a necessary part of making sure you are getting the best care for you.
When not in the clinic, I love to spend time with my wife, son, and two dogs. You can find us on the slopes snowboarding in the winter, or on the hiking trails and disc golf courses in the summer. We also love cheering on the Baylor Bears and visiting new restaurants.

- Research interest for patients
-
My research interests include medical education, frailty, fall prevention, and dementia care.
- Volunteer activities
I have volunteered in Uganda for 5 separate trips from high school through medical school. I spent the longest trip working in a hospital in Fort Portal, where I had the opportunity to learn from some incredible physicians while conducting surgical cost analysis. Because of our work, hundreds of patients have had surgeries funded through Watsi.
