Tara Dennison graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado in Denver. She earned a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University where she was awarded the 2011 College of Human Health and Sciences Fellowship Award. Her occupational therapy experience includes inpatient and outpatient settings specializing in neuro and oncology populations. She is certified in the Parkinson’s LSVT BIG program and spoke at the Parkinson’s Awareness Conference for the South Dakota Parkinson’s Foundation in 2015. She has participated in a grant funded CDOT project forming a community of OT practitioners who address driving fitness and she will be speaking at the Occupational Therapy Association of Colorado Driving Fitness event in April 2018. Tara is also a STAR (Survivorship Training and Rehab) certified oncology rehab specialist. Additional training includes orthopedic conditions of the upper extremity, physical agent modalities and home modifications to improve safety and accessibility. Tara is committed to providing client-centered care with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
