I have always believed in an emphasis on patient-centered care, where each patient feels fully informed and supported in making her own important medical decisions. I enjoy caring for women throughout the full spectrum of ages, with the variety of changing priorities that this may bring. OB/GYN covers such a wide range of issues; every day is interesting, whether discussing preventative care, delivering a baby, or doing complex surgery. I strongly believe in a minimally invasive approach to surgery, when possible, and have extensive experience performing da Vinci robotic surgery. Similarly, I feel that menopause treatment is very individual and should be customized to each patient.
I grew up as an Army brat moving from place to place, but have been in Colorado Springs since 1996, when I was in the Army myself and served as Assistant Chief of OB/GYN at Fort Carson. My three children grew up here and are now lovely adults, all pursuing their own careers. In my free time, I enjoy show jumping, oil painting and Pilates. My husband and I are often outside enjoying Colorado with our horses and dogs when we are not busy with projects on our little horse farm.
