The foundation of my philosophy of care is that healthcare is a fundamental human right. As a pediatrician, I am keenly aware that it is an honor to collaborate with families to grow the happiest and healthiest humans we can. I aim to listen without judgement, give compassion and validation, as well as collaborate through shared decision making to address medical needs.
My priorities are rooted in preventive medicine, early intervention, patient advocacy, and working to improve social, economic, cultural and language barriers to care. My hope is that together we can make healthcare visits fun.
I enjoy guiding the littlest humans through their developmental stages as well as supporting them as needed. One of my passions is to ensure effective school transition for our school-aged patients and ensure that those with neurodivergence or complex medical needs are getting appropriate supports. As our adolescents grow I strive to empower them to be stewards of their own health. Along our journey together, I also aim to be a useful resource for the entire family.
I live here in Colorado Springs with my husband, 3 kids and 2 dogs. Two of our children are neuro-diverse and this has enriched our lives and enhanced my ability to meet the needs of my patients. We love exploring in nature, hiking and reading. We are always on the look out for our next family adventure!
