Staci Tornquist, LCSW, is an accomplished Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist with over twenty years of providing compassionate and effective care to individuals and families. Her professional journey is marked by a rich and diverse career history. With a Master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia, and a proven track record in various leadership roles, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to serving the most vulnerable and underserved members of her community.
Staci is particularly drawn to practicing integrated behavioral health in primary care settings. She has seen firsthand the value in treating the whole person and believes integrated care is one of the best ways to manage conditions such as mild behavioral health concerns to chronic health conditions. Clinical outcomes, cost of care and quality of life for the patient are all greatly improved when there is close collaboration and coordination with the care teams.
In her current position as a Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist at UCHealth, Staci plays a pivotal role in providing triage, assessment and treatment to patients and their families. Operating as an independently licensed behavioral health clinician, she is responsible for implementing counseling and therapy in the primary care setting. Staci excels in conducting thorough interviews and assessments, ensuring comprehensive and tailored care for everyone under her purview.
She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Colorado and California, reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards. Her achievements have been acknowledged through awards, including being a National Institute of Mental Health Grant Recipient for a post-graduate social work fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center at Yale University’s Medical school in New Haven, Connecticut.
