Sharon has a background in management of orthopedic injuries receiving her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation from the American Physical therapy Association in 2008. She has been working in the area of pelvic floor dysfunction since 2002, and has taken extensive continuing education in management of incontinence (urinary and fecal), pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain. She is also trained in visceral manipulation for scar and abdominal restrictions which can contribute to pain. Biofeedback, home exercise, and education in self-management are the primary components of her treatment plan for incontinence and prolapse.
