I am passionate about applied physiology and pharmacology. Anesthesiology and critical care involve critical situations where a calm and rational approach is needed. I aim to help my patients through difficult times with a friendly and easygoing manner. Many people have likened the practice of anesthesiology to that of being a pilot – I am very happy to be your captain.
I love skiing and craft beers – I make my own in a set up in the garage (it is not as hard as you think!). Naturally I was drawn to move to Colorado for the fresh mountain air and easy access to slopes. My upbringing has been very international – born to American parents I grew up in England, Japan, Switzerland and the United States. Practicing medicine abroad brings important outside perspectives to my work.
