I love being a physician, especially a cardiologist, and have extra training and interest in caring for patients with acute and chronic heart failure. I believe each patient is their own unique individual and case. I like to listen to my patients, like to educate them on their medical issues and/or goals of preventive care and believe in evidence-based medicine. I have been so lucky to have a career in cardiology where there have been great discoveries and advances in cardiovascular care, especially in patients suffering from heart failure. I like to share and educate with my patients all the medical advances and believe medical care should be patient-centered and individualized to each specific person’s case. My goal is to work as a team and treat the entire patient and their family, addressing their values and concerns. I believe both in getting my patients quality of life and quantity of years.
Outside of being a cardiologist, I live with my wife Jessica and our blended family. We have five wonderful children ranging from teen years to adults, each with their own blossoming personalities and strengths. I enjoy playing tennis, skiing, early sunrise walks with my wife and our Mini-Aussie dogs, traveling, movies and time with family and friends.
