As a primary care internal medicine doctor, building long-lasting relationships with patients is the most rewarding part of what I do. I believe these relationships make me better able to find a prevention or treatment plan that will work best for each patient as an individual.

I strive to create an open, trusting and respectful environment where patients feel comfortable telling me about their health concerns and where they feel that they have been heard. Working in partnership, I hope my patients and I can collaborate to maximize their wellness. I work with my patients to help them achieve their personal health goals, as well as to deal with chronic and acute medical concerns. I work with each patient to find the right combination of lifestyle modifications, medications and other therapies to achieve a positive result. If specialist consultations are needed, I help identify the best person for each patient to see and help coordinate care with them.

I understand that dealing with health issues and with our health care system can be stressful, emotionally taxing and expensive. I aim to make my patients’ experience in my office as comfortable as I can, while ensuring they get the best care.

My husband (a gynecologic oncologist at University of Colorado) and I were thrilled to settle down in Denver in 2012 and are hooked on the mountains. I enjoy hiking, skiing and running and reading. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my two amazing children.

Clinical interest for patients

I am interested in the broad spectrum of internal medicine ranging from health issues of older adolescents to geriatric patients. I enjoy managing the chronic issues that we see in many of our patients, including heart disease, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. Furthermore, I am thrilled to help people try to prevent the onset of these issues. I see patients for annual health maintenance exams and do routine women's health care including pap smears. I also treat acute medical issues such as upper respiratory infections, back/joint problems, gastrointestinal issues.
