Dr. Tillery grew up in the mountains in Utah and went to medical school at the University of Utah. She completed general surgery residency at Tulane in New Orleans and her fellowship in Trauma and Critical Care fellowship at UAB at Birmingham in Alabama. Her research interests include transparency in healthcare, access disparity, and public health policy. Her passions include minimally-invasive approaches to emergency general surgery pathologies and holistic care of the traumatically injured.
