My philosophy is that every patient should receive individualized care. Every person is different, and what works for one person may not be the case with someone else. Each patient is their own unique mix of medical history, preferences, personal goals, family dynamics, functional needs, etc. that can influence what a good surgery option would be for him or her. I try to keep that in mind when I meet with my patients and as I am taking care of them throughout their surgery and recovery.
I have two children and two fur babies. I enjoy running, hiking, cooking, reading, and just spending time with my family. I dabble in some very amateur woodworking and tend to be a one who is fixing things around the house.

I am fellowship-trained in minimally invasive surgery (meaning mainly laparoscopic and robotic general surgery) and bariatrics. Surgeries I perform include but are not limited to bariatrics (sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, revisions, etc.), anti-reflux surgeries, gallbladder, and abdominal wall hernia surgeries.
My favorite type of surgeries however are the Bariatric procedures. I am a big believer in what we do. Weight-loss surgery can be life changing and is oftentimes a second chance for many of my patients. Plus with advancements in technology, patients are doing better now than they have in the past due to less post-surgery pain and faster overall recovery. We also have a fantastic Bariatric Surgery team at Parkview. They are my work family, and we all share the same passion for helping patients achieve a better quality of life.
