I try and treat patients as I would like to be treated, and every person is as important as the next. We all share this world and should treat each other with respect and empathy no matter what our differences are.
I am a Colorado native. I started my medical career in the United States Coast Guard as a corpsman. After serving five years active duty, I received an honorable discharge and went on to UCDavis for my physician assistant education. I returned to Colorado in 1998 to work in internal medicine and have been here since. I have two wonderful daughters—my oldest is a clinical pharmacologist at Swedish Hospital in Denver, and my youngest is in the 8th grade. She enjoys 4H and reading every book she can get her hands on. My husband is a brand inspector for the State of Colorado. We live on a small farm and enjoy the company of a multitude of animals.
