She was an invited member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. The letters FACS (Fellow, American College of Surgeons) after a surgeon’s name mean that the surgeon’s education and training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct have passed a rigorous evaluation, and have been found to be consistent with the high standards established and demanded by the College.
Dr. Sitole enjoys teaching and has worked in both academics and private practice. She has taught at all levels, including teaching oculoplastic procedures to fellows and teaching the basics of eye exams to medical students.
