Growing up in a small Midwestern town, I was eager to explore at an early age. The first stop on my journey led me to Atlanta, Georgia, where I completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).
Upon completion, I moved to Philadelphia where I continued my training as a resident with PCOM. My intern year finished as the COVID-19 pandemic was unfolding. In such uncertain times, I was fortunate to learn at hospitals associated with Jefferson and Temple University, seeing patient populations that encompassed the diversity of the Birthplace of America. Needing a change in scenery, I moved to the foothills of the Rockies where I hope to learn more about myself.
The highlight of my job is having an opportunity to talk with patients and learn about their own journeys. It is humbling to see the strength that brought them to this point as well as their trust in my care. Everyday, I remind myself, I need to continue to earn that trust and treat patients to the best of my abilities.
