I believe that the patient always comes first. Attention to safety, quality testing, timely treatments, and disease prevention are my top priorities as a physician. My goal is to provide a level of care that I would want for my own family. Furthermore, I welcome a collaborative approach to my patient’s care, something that the professional team and extensive resources at UCHealth enables. In particular, UCHealth Memorial is well-organized to deliver a broad scope of cutting edge services and treatments with regards to cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Michael Perry completed his Cardiology training at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center located in southern New Jersey. Prior to this he trained in Columbus, Ohio for his Internal Medicine residency at Doctors Hospital. He also has a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, both from Penn State. Dr. Perry’s clinical interests include: Cardiovascular disease, cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, cardiac catheterization and disease prevention. Why did you get into the medical profession? My interest in cardiology began when I was exposed to basic heart and lung physiology as a teenager while learning to scuba dive with the Boy Scouts. This interest turned to passion as I continued forward in my education, with degrees in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology prior to medical school. Since that time I have been inspired by how Cardiology allows me to integrate all of my interests, training, and professional goals to affect positive change in the well-being of others. Personal: Beyond medicine, Dr. Michael Perry can be found exploring Colorado with his wife Andrea and their two sons. He also enjoys cycling, mountain biking, triathlon, hiking, skiing and drumming.
