I am a native of Colorado and returned home after serving 10 years in the USAF as a surgeon. I strive to understand the medical and social needs of each patient and use this knowledge as a basis to educate them about their disease and the benefits/risks of the possible treatments. This includes any lifestyle and/or nutrition needs that the therapies may create. This approach allows us to discover together the best and safest treatment. To best meet each patient’s needs, I remain up to date in the latest endoscopic, laparoscopic/thoracoscopic (VATS), robotic and open surgical techniques. I work with a great team in a fully integrated weight loss surgery program. This allows me to use many of the same nutrition and support services for the benefit of all my intestinal surgery patients.
