I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a nurse practitioner, as growing up in a small community, it was a nurse practitioner who cared for me and that meant the world to me. As I was training to be a nurse, it was my women’s health and OB rotation that solidified my passion and drive to care for women. Since 1999, I have enjoyed various roles in the care of women, from gynecological/surgical nursing to the next 13 years spent as a labor and delivery nurse at Poudre Valley Hospital. After obtaining my family nurse practitioner degree in 2014, I worked in family medicine for nearly 2 years before transitioning to reproductive endocrinology and infertility care, which I enjoyed for 7 and a half years. Since then, I have been providing general OB/GYN care focusing on all aspects of women’s health care, including contraception, preconception counseling, fertility, prenatal care, well-woman needs, peri-menopause, menopause and beyond. My goal is to listen to my patients’ needs and help them make informed and empowered decisions regarding their health.
When I am not working, I am spending time with my family. We enjoy being outdoors; going hiking, camping, fishing, watching sports and going to concerts! In my downtime, I enjoy going for a jog or reading a good book. I am so happy to be back with UCHealth and to get the opportunity to continue to provide care for women in Northern Colorado!
