I chose pediatrics because I love teaching and building long-term relationships with children and their families. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is earning trust and having the privilege of participating in a child’s growth and development, from infancy through adolescence as they form their sense of self. I believe pediatrics offers a unique opportunity to positively influence the trajectory of an entire life by providing a strong foundation during their most formative years. My approach to care is patient- and family-centered, grounded in a biopsychosocial model that integrates physiology, mental health and social context. By meeting each patient and family where they are, I aim to provide individualized, compassionate care. Open communication and mutual trust are the foundation of meaningful, high-quality pediatric care.
Originally from the East Coast, my husband, Chris, and I moved to Denver for my residency in 2015. What was initially intended to be a 3-year chance to experience a new part of the country is now over a decade of loving Colorado and all it has to offer.
We are lucky enough to have 4 children – our oldest born in 2019 and triplets (surprise!) in 2022. With our three dogs and two cats, our life feels a bit like a well-loved three-ring circus. When I’m not taming the masses, I enjoy pottery, crochet, reading and Pilates.
