Mary Kaye Pierce graduated from Colorado State University and began her career in hand therapy.  She became a CHT in 1991, the inaugural year for hand therapy certification.

Most of her career has been in outpatient hand therapy clinics. She continues to be curious and loves learning new things. The field of hand therapy knowledge is ever evolving, and she is excited to learn and unlearn new concepts.

I enjoy meeting each person and hearing their story and developing a program for the recovery of hand and upper extremity functioning. Treatments such as custom splinting, manual and functional activities are things I enjoy doing.

Her interests include hiking, biking, community gardening, and spending time with family.
