I enjoy getting to know my patients and working collaboratively with them to improve and maintain their health by providing high-quality care, while taking into consideration their unique concerns, needs, and priorities as individuals. I strive to build patient relationships on a foundation of empathy, compassion, along with mutual communication and respect.
I was born in Wyoming, grew up in North Carolina, and returned to Wyoming/Colorado in 2004. After I obtained a BA in biology, I became a volunteer EMT, and realized my passion for patient care, which led me to go back to school and get a nursing degree. As an RN, I worked in cardiac intensive care, IV team, and outpatient oncology. After 11 years of nursing, I again returned to school to become a nurse practitioner, graduating from the University of Wyoming’s FNP program in 2012. As an FNP, I have worked in urgent care, family planning, college health, and primary care settings. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, macro photography, paddle boarding, reading, gardening, going to small-venue concerts, adventures with my 2 adult sons, and traveling with my significant other. I especially enjoy learning about the local history of both where I live, as well as travel destinations.
