I believe that nursing is an art and science with the goal of helping the patient achieve wholeness. I believe in providing quality care to patients in a respectful and dignified manner, treating patients as a whole, and involving the patient in their health care decisions using a team approach. I believe in educating patients. I believe in treating the patient and not the disease or illness.
I have been in the medical field since my senior year of high school in 2002, so I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to become a nurse. I started my career as certified nursing assistant. I went to nursing school at Beth-El College of Nursing and graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree and a registered nurse license. After five years of as an RN, I realized I wanted something more challenging and I wanted to provide better patient care. I went back to school for a master’s degree and became at nurse practitioner. It’s challenging and rewarding every day. I’m proud of my nursing background and to be a nurse practitioner.
Outside of caring for patients, I enjoy time with my husband and 2 children. My husband and I like to go hunting, fishing and camping. I enjoy doing Crossfit workouts and cooking. I love animals and have two rescue dogs and one cat.
