I am interested in acute and chronic virus infections that produce neurological and multisystem disease.

Research interest for patients

Neurological and systemic diseases produced by varicella zoster virus and herpes simplex including herpes zoster (shingles), zoster sine herpete (shingles without rash), Ramsay Hunt syndrome, postherpetic neuralgia, VZV vasculopathy (stroke, aneurysm), VZV temporal arteritis, facial pain syndromes, burning mouth syndrome, and erythromelalgia.
