Lynn Shields has dual board certifications as a Family and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, allowing her to take care of patients of all ages at UCHealth Internal Medicine – Colorado City. She has more than 34 years of experience in nursing, and has been a Nurse Practitioner since 2008. The majority of her career has been spent in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. She spent time in her career teaching various emergency and critical courses to other health care providers. She enjoys educating her patients to help them understand their diagnosis and work through their treatments for optimal outcomes. Her warm personality and easy-going attitude make her patients feel comfortable asking questions and never rushed.
Lynn and her husband live in Colorado City and she really enjoys being involved with the community. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, crafts, gardening and reading.
