I initially went into the nursing profession because of my innate nature to care for other individuals. Many depict my care as empathetic, engaging, and willing to listen to my patient’s story.
My philosophy of care is to provide compassion, competent, empathetic care to every patient I see. To accomplish this, I need to see the patient as a whole, using my knowledge and experience to be respectful, caring, empathetic, and honest. My philosophies stems from the lessons I learned as a child, in my devotional readings, and the wonderful people who teach me something insightful and wonderful every day.
I stand firm in my belief that politics, ethnic background, sexual orientation, gender, and religion should be respected. I believe I am confident and competent enough to continue working with all my patients without showing any form of discrimination. I strive to be an advocate for my patients, providing, privacy, confidentiality, and protecting patients rights.
I will continue to increase my education, thereby offering my knowledge to my patients.
I have a broad range of clinical interests including, stem cell research, complementary care, pediatric care, and mental health. I have lived in Colorado for many years, and I love to go bicycling, hiking, canoeing, camping, reading, watching movies and going to museums. I adore gardening, and find such relief when I do.
