Dr. Longwell believes her most important role is to encourage patients to gain more understanding and awareness of their health concerns. “I want to help my patients know their role as leaders in their health care.”

Laura Longwell, D.O., was inspired to enter the medical field after witnessing the support and comfort a family member received from health care workers after a life-altering stroke. “I knew I wanted to be part of that caring. I still remain grateful,” said Dr. Longwell. Dr. Longwell was born and raised in West Virginia and she and her partner are excited to explore the Front Range. In her free time, she enjoys reading, backpacking and traveling – the highlight of which was spending two months in Sierra Leone in Africa during medical school.
