- Clinical interest for patients
-
My clinical interests are in the care of adults with general infectious diseases and HIV.
- Research interest for patients
-
My research interests focus on improving the health and quality of life of older adults aging with HIV. My current research is investigating the benefits of exercise, the impact of adjuvant therapies (i.e., statins), and the role of body composition (muscle, fat) on the physical function of older adults with HIV. I am also testing the use of a disability questionnaire in the clinical setting with colleagues in Canada and Ireland. Lastly, newer antiretroviral therapy has been associated with weight gain, and I am investigating mechanisms and interventions for this weight gain.
