I believe in patient-centered care that is enhanced through trust. My goal is to empower patients to take control of their health. My focus is to work together toward improving or maintaining fundamental healthy behaviors that lead to more fulfilling lives. I believe in sustainable interventions: I want to partner with patients to help explore self-care strategies that will motivate practical and healthy lifestyle behaviors throughout the lifespan. I also value teamwork: A team approach is fundamental to comprehensive patient care. Integration of health care professionals from diverse backgrounds can facilitate comprehensive treatment planning across all areas of healthy living, including nutrition, physical activity, diabetes education and behavioral and mental health.
I work to stay healthy by partaking in a variety of activities. I enjoy daily walks with my husband, Scott, beagle, Stanley, and rescue dog, Marley, as well as gardening and reading or listening to a good book! I also enjoy watching my two teenage children compete in sports and perform in their school orchestra and band. As a family, we enjoy hiking, biking, board games and movie night.
