A CU Medicine provider.

I believe in a family centered approach to caring for children with kidney disease. I believe patient and family education is essential for fostering a team approach to treatment and overall health.

I recently relocated from Chicago and the weather and outdoor lifestyle of Colorado is fantastic! I enjoy hiking and skiing.

As a nephrology provider for over 10 years, I am experienced in treating children of all ages, including newborns and young adults, with acute and/or chronic kidney disease. I am also interested in the management of children with high blood pressure.

Research interest for patients

My research interests are focused on how blood pressure control can improve and preserve kidney function.

Volunteer activities

For the past 3 years I have been actively involved with the National Kidney Foundation in a variety of volunteer roles. I participate in local fundraising and community screening events for kidney disease. In addition, I am a state representative for advocacy efforts that support research and awareness of kidney disease at the national level. I was previously involved with the Make A Wish Foundation of Illinois as a Wish Granter for 10 years.
