Dr. Chowdhury received his MD from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. He continued internship training at Akron City Hospital in Ohio and St. Thomas Hospital in Tennessee. Dr. Chowdhury then completed residency training at McGill University in Montreal, Québec, and an additional residency at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Chowdhury received a fellowship at the University of Berne in Switzerland
