I have found over the years that not only do different patients need different things from their family doctors, but the same patient may need different things at different times in his life. A patient who has always been an active partner in his own health care will occasionally be overcome by circumstances and may need me to make tough decisions for him. When that happens, I do my best to be true to what I have learned about that patient’s own philosophy of health care.
I love being in family practice. I am meticulous about preventive care. I consider it my job to give my patient’s correct and knowledgable recommendations, and then make the most of whatever decision that patient makes for himself.
I am so fortunate to be able to work part-time and be home to spend time with my husband, my three rapidly growing teenagers, and my two dogs the rest of the time. We enjoy skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, reading and eating, not necessarily in that order :-)!
