I feel very fortunate to be able to help people every day as a hematologist/oncologist. I was initially drawn to oncology due to its biological complexity, the rapidly changing therapeutic landscape, and the societal impact cancer has in our community. My interest in caring for these complex patients has deepened after witnessing multiple family members and friends go through this journey. My philosophy to patient care is one of collaboration and partnership. I view patients as individuals, with unique interests, backgrounds, hopes and concerns. Through a collaborative and patient-centered approach, I believe we can achieve the best health outcome possible for each specific patient.
I am originally from West Lafayette, Indiana. After completing undergraduate studies and medical school at Indiana University, I finished my internal medicine residency at The University of Chicago and hematology/oncology fellowship at Weill Cornell in New York City. When I’m not working or caring for my young daughter, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and taking advantage of the beautiful outdoor recreation in Colorado.
