John Seddon, MD is a dual fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon at UCHealth Orthopedics in Colorado Springs, CO. He specializes in foot and ankle surgery and lower extremity trauma, with additional expertise in deformity correction.
His clinical practice encompasses patients of ages fifteen and above, with all activity levels, and a keen focus on injuries, joint replacement, and reconstruction. His expertise includes bunion corrections, osteotomies (correcting deformities), and bone spur excisions. He also specializes in ligament repair/reconstruction, achilles tendon procedures including minimally invasive repairs, surgeries to treat arthritic conditions, cartilage treatment/transplant, and complex fracture fixation. Dr. Seddon also has extensive training in minimally invasive surgical techniques of the foot and ankle for deformity correction, sports injuries and fracture care.
As a surgeon, and an accomplished triathlete who has competed for over a decade, he has won his age group at the Ironman 70.3 Boulder triathlon for the last three years. He has competed all over the world including the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. He is considered a fierce competitor, often placing on the podium at nearly every race. He is also a competitive cyclist, swimmer, and trail runner.
Many consider him their hero as he is a fixer of bones and joints, getting people back on their feet, and changing each patient’s lives for the better. He modestly believes as an athlete he can bring a unique understanding to patients, helping them return to the sport they love after an injury.
