I moved to Colorado Springs in 1996. I was born and raised in Detroit, MI, then went to medical school at Michigan State. I completed my residency at the University of South Carolina. At that time, I was single and the mountains were calling me. I started with our practice in 1996, and have been here ever since. I’m now married and have 2 beautiful sons. We enjoy hiking, skiing, swimming and travelling, but are always happy to return to our beautiful city! I have never regretted my decision to go into obstetrics and gynecology. It is a demanding, and sometimes stressful job, but the rewards are amazing. I enjoy the full spectrum of practice, including delivering babies, performing gynecological surgeries, both minimally invasive and more complex procedures. I also love the continuity that a busy office practice brings. I am lucky enough to see some amazing women over many years. Now that I’ve been practicing here for more than 20 years, I am starting to see some young women in my practice who I actually delivered! I would say my favorite part of my practice is obstetrics though. I can still get teary when I see parents meeting their new baby for the first time! That’s when I know I’m doing exactly the right thing!
