Jessica is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with extensive experience in orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping individuals live active, fulfilling lives through patient-centered care, evidence-informed practice, program development, education, and lifelong learning.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, a Certificate in the Conceptual Foundations of Medicine, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has pursued extensive advanced training in clinical practice, education, and leadership. Her credentials include Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, and Credentialed Clinical Instructor. She has also completed additional training in orthopedic rehabilitation, injury prevention, and sports performance.
Jessica has practiced physical therapy since 2010, with the majority of her experience in outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine settings. She joined UCHealth in 2015 and values collaborating with patients, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and the community to improve health and quality of life. She is dedicated to helping patients achieve their goals through individualized care and through initiatives that support high-quality rehabilitation services. These include promoting evidence-based practice, developing orthopedic and sports rehabilitation programs, mentoring staff, and providing education through continuing education and clinical instruction. Jessica serves as a clinical instructor within UCHealth and has also taught as faculty in entry-level physical therapy programs.
In addition to her clinical and educational work, Jessica is actively involved with the American Physical Therapy Association, contributing to advocacy, engagement, and research initiatives at the national, Colorado state, and Orthopedic Section levels.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is a runner, outdoor enthusiast, avid reader, volunteer, therapy dog handler, and supporter of local running and endurance athlete communities. She strives to maintain a healthy, active, and balanced lifestyle and values the opportunity to partner with others in their health and wellness journeys.
