Over the course of my career, my goal has been, and continues to be, focused on improving education and outcomes for cardiac patients. This is established by creating a strong rapport with my patients. I make sure to listen carefully to each of my patients when they speak and ask questions to better understand and address their concerns. Working closely with the interdisciplinary team, I believe in connecting and working together, rather than operating independently. This higher level of care continuity strengthens communication and yields better information for decision-making, especially in patients with advanced cardiac disease processes, and ultimately improving the overall patient experience and outcome.

I started my career as a registered nurse in the cardiac cath lab and pre/post cath lab area and continued in cardiology once I obtained my nurse practitioner degree. I am a recent transplant to Colorado Springs from northeast Tennessee. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two boys. We love attending athletic events at the Air Force Academy, skiing, hiking and traveling.
