Before entering clinical practice, Jesseca Ayres, PA-C, developed a strong foundation in research, exploring the intersection of medicine, behavioral science and patient outcomes. While at Centenary College of Louisiana, she conducted a study titled “The Impacts of Visual Art on Blood Pressure Management,” examining how environmental and visual art can influence physiological stress responses and blood pressure management—a reflection of her interest in holistic healthcare.
Later, while at LSU Health Shreveport, Jesseca was honored with the Research Excellence Award for work on “Mechanisms & Impact of Alcohol Consumption on Glycemic Control in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.” This project deepened her understanding of metabolic regulation and the complex factors affecting chronic disease management.
