As both a physician and a surgeon, I utilize a collaborative philosophy to providing patient care. I am a strong proponent of using evidence-based medicine and stepwise plans in treating diseases of the head and neck. I am also a firm believer in patient-centered care with the idea that the patient and family are essential partners in determining and completing their most appropriate treatment. For many ear, nose and throat diseases a team approach is needed, and I strive to develop the clinical relationships needed for excellent, integrated care.
I am so blessed to be able to live and work in beautiful southern Colorado. I enjoy mountain biking and skiing as well as hiking with my dog, Pepper. I love to garden, but between the deer and the hail, I have not been very successful yet.

My research interests are focused on rhinology, including new approaches to managing difficult chronic sinus diseases, such as nasal polyps. I am also interested in outcomes research to track the true risks and benefits of current sinus disease treatments.
