I was a RN for 18 years before advancing my career to Nurse Practitioner. Over the years I learned that medicine is a team effort. The patient is the main player is the way I approach medicine. We all need to work together to get the best out comes.
In my free time I do enjoy activities such as camping. These days it is more glamping (I want my comforts of home wherever I go). I am motorcycle enthusiasts from the back of a motorcycle and love NASCAR. I like to cook new recipes and need taste testers (not all my dishes have been great). I have been married for 27 years to a wonderful man who enjoys doing all the things I like to do. A mother of 3 and grandmother to 10.
There is something to learn from everyone you run into. A wise RN taught me this when I was a new nurse and I carry this into all aspects of my life.
