A CU Medicine provider.

I believe in caring for the whole child, not just the eyes or the diagnosis. Vision is critical for children’s development, learning, confidence, and connection with the world. For this reason, alongside their eye condition, I consider their quality of life, family dynamics, and emotional well-being as I strive to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care.

Clinical interest for patients

I treat routine to complex medical and surgical conditions in pediatric patients. My special interest is in pediatric uveitis, which is inflammation inside the eye. The goal of starting our combined rheumatology-ophthalmology clinic in 2020 is to provide streamlined decisions and minimize time away from school and work through a joint visit.

As a director for the retinopathy of prematurity service, I help the most vulnerable patients in our NICUs.

Research interest for patients

Pediatric uveitis, Pars Planitis, Pediatric cataracts, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Ocular manifestations of systemic disease
