My approach to patient care is one that centers upon the whole patient, not just the diagnosis for which the patient was sent to see me. Surgery is a great option for many patients with thoracic conditions such as lung or esophageal cancer but it may not be the right option for everyone. My job as a surgeon is to evaluate each patient as an individual and take into consideration their diagnosis, health history, current quality of life and desired lifestyle before making a decision about surgical treatment. I strive to treat each patient as I would want my own family to be treated in the same situation.
I am a Colorado native and so happy to be practicing here. I love the outdoors and all that Northern Colorado has to offer. My husband and I love to ski, snow mobile, run, hike and fish. We have a one-year old son and two golden retrievers who help keep our house dirty and our hearts full.
