Dr. Clay earned his medical degree from the University of Utah Medical Center and completed his general surgery residency at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. While serving in the Air Force, Dr. Clay deployed overseas several times, providing surgical care in austere, front-line locations and directing care and patient transport for the trauma and emergency surgery receiving hospital supporting those front-line surgical clinics. Additionally, he has served as the Chief of Surgery at the United States Air Force Academy clinic. The Air Force has recognized Dr. Clay’s service with a Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medals, and the Army has recognized his service with Commendations Medals. Dr. Clay sincerely enjoys helping his patients understand different options to treat their surgical conditions and discussing the relative merits of each option. He values patient control of their own medical care and is keen to assist them improve their health through surgical and non-surgical means.
