It’s a privilege to care for patients throughout the spectrum of life, from newborns to the elderly. I’m honored to serve my patients for health maintenance or the diagnosis and treatment of acute care conditions. As a nurse practitioner, my priority is to listen to my patients and develop a partnership where we can work together to create a care plan that’s unique to each individual’s physical, mental and social needs
I became interested in primary care after my personal experience as an adolescent. My primary care provider diagnosed scoliosis at an early age, and identified the most appropriate treatment plan for my condition. As patients, we depend on primary care providers to make a critical diagnosis, in order to set forth the cascade of events required to appropriately treat the condition. As a primary care nurse practitioner, I am excited about the opportunity to positively impact the lives of my patients and their families.
UCHealth Longmont Clinic is the pre-eminent multi-specialty provider group serving Longmont, and it is a wonderful opportunity to work with such dedicated providers. Furthermore, UCHealth has a vast network of subspecialty providers locally and across the Front Range, which allows for expedited referral from the primary care setting and collaborative communication, including access to cutting-edge clinical trials.
I am married and we have two young sons. My husband, Dr. Robert Powell, also works as a general surgeon with UCHealth Surgery Clinic – Longmont. I have a passion for helping others and am involved in volunteer activities in my church. I would like to pursue medical missionary opportunities for underserved individuals during my career. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family participating in outdoor activities. My hobbies include running, hiking, paddle boarding, skiing, kickboxing and playing tennis.
