I work with my patients to get them back to the activities they enjoy using the best operative and non-operative techniques available while providing a kind, caring and interactive/educational experience.
At UCHealth, you have tremendous access to a network of specialists. I’m fortunate to work in a multidisciplinary team that provides easy access to many expert-trained providers – all while offering patients the best possible care. My practice includes all areas of sports medicine including ankle, knee, and hip injuries. My primary interest and passion are problems of the upper extremity; shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
From an early age, I had an interest in taking care of people and helping them get back to the things they like to do. I also developed an interest and mind for how things work, which cultivated into a Bio-engineering degree from University of California San Diego where I was also an Academic All-American Swimmer. My studies provided a strong basis for understanding the way the body functions. Orthopedics is an excellent mix of clinical care and understanding the mechanics of the body.
I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and additionally board-certified in sports medicine. My training was at the New England Baptist Hospital where we cared for the Boston Celtics.
I grew up in Colorado and in the west and love everything this area has to offer. Along with my wife and son, we enjoy all the outdoor activities, art and culture in the area. I particularly enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, running, road and mountain biking, swimming, skiing, snowboarding, sailing, and participating in team sports like basketball, football and soccer. I enjoy traveling, fine food, gardening, art, reading and classic cars. But most of all, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family.
