Originally hailed from Colorado as a child before moving to California where he ultimately attending UC San Diego where he was a biomedical engineering major and All-American swimmer. He fostered a love of surfing and the outdoors there. He then went on to receive his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He then completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Boston University followed by a Sports Medicine Surgical Fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. While there he had the opportunity to care for the Boston Celtics Basketball Team. He has since moved to Colorado in 2016 and has been caring for patients in the Boulder/Longmont and Estes Park area since.

Dr. Bishop is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is additionally Sports Medicine Subspecialty Board-Certified. He provides comprehensive orthopedic care for sports injuries, total joint replacement, hand and upper extremity care, pediatric orthopedics and foot and ankle injuries.

In his free time, Dr. Bishops loves the outdoors and his hobbies include skiing, snowboarding, biking (mountain, road and gravel), swimming, and spending time with his family and Bernedoodle dog, Eggsy.
