I believe in a collaborative approach to caring for patients, where the patient and physician discuss diagnostic and therapeutic options and come to agree on a plan that the patient is most comfortable with.
I also prefer a less formal doctor-patient relationship and attempt to always make sure my patients understand our plan for their care and get all of their questions answered.
