My patient care approach can be summed up by the phrase, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Working in family medicine provides the opportunity to build relationships with patients, enabling me to truly understand who I am caring for in a way that extends beyond the medical conditions. Important questions I like to consider include: what are your priorities for your care, what do you value, and how can we overcome the barriers to get where we want to be? Personally, I love getting to know people and what makes them who they are and, professionally, it allows us to work together as a team to improve your overall health.
I live in Colorado Springs with my husband and our German Shorthaired Pointer. I spend my time being with friends and family, playing card/board games, watching and playing sports, talking and walking, and being in the mountains. Some things that bring me the most joy: placing my faith in Jesus, connecting with people, adventuring with my husband and friends, reaching patient milestones/breakthroughs, and spending a beautiful, sunny day in the great outdoors.
