I believe that healthcare is a collaboration between practitioners and patients and both parties should be invested in the results. Together they should work to achieve what healthy means to the patient, set goals for what matters most, and develop a plan to achieve and maintain those goals throughout life. I strive to take the time to listen to my patients, meet them where they are, educate them about their conditions, and always ask for their input while creating a plan of care.
I worked in primary care as a medical assistant for 10 years before returning to school to get my Master of Physician Assistant Studies. I consider myself lucky to be working in a field that I really enjoy and getting to do what I love every day. I’m a Colorado Springs native that enjoys everything Colorado has to offer. I enjoy walking my dogs, hiking 14ers and getting out in the snow. When I’m not enjoying all the sunshine, I’m working around my home taking care of our bees, chickens and garden while listening to a true crime podcast or reading and drinking a good cup of coffee. I love learning and taking extra classes for fun! Any chance I get to learn a new skill, I do.
