I grew up in Grand Rapids, MI, and went to college in Tennessee where I played volleyball and enjoyed all things outdoors. I traveled internationally on medical mission trips to South Africa, Belize, and Guatemala, which cultivated a desire to practice medicine to serve my community. I returned to Michigan State University for medical school and residency, then moved to Colorado Springs in 2011 where I have worked both in the hospital and in primary care.
I chose pediatrics because I love being part of your child’s health and development from infancy to adolescence. Parenting a little (or big!) human can bring incredible joy, and also be surprisingly humbling to navigate. I considerate it a privilege to partner with families on their individual journeys and strive to treat each family with respect and listen closely to be able to truly address your concerns.
Outside of work, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, skiing, travel, and trying new food. My most favorite times are spent with family and friends, my two teenage girls, and my partner Duncan.
