It is an exciting time to be a neurologist, with the advent of new therapies for chronic diseases such as migraine and multiple sclerosis. Research continues on these and other neurologic conditions, with further new therapies in development. My job is to listen to patients and educate them both on their neurologic condition and the most appropriate therapy consistent with evidence-based practices. I enjoy the outpatient setting as it allows me to continue to follow patients long term. I believe that when physicians listen to patients, we can better treat the whole patient and not just their symptoms, improving quality of life.
As a general neurologist, I am able to see and treat a wide variety of neurologic conditions. However, I have a particular interest in treating patients with migraine and epilepsy.
