As a strengths-based therapist, I am honored to walk alongside clients with compassion and genuine curiosity. I am a student of what works, and I strive to help my clients become the experts on their own lives, needs and strengths. I am as interested in what is working as what isn’t working in people’s lives. I have a passion for helping people manage or bounce back from challenges and claim ownership of their lives through an integrated approach addressing body, mind and spirit. As your therapist, I will collaborate with your primary care provider to address the physical or bodily dimensions of well-being, which often are closely related to mental and spiritual issues. In my counseling, I use motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, systems theory and bodily processing of emotions. As an experienced health care chaplain, if spirituality is important to you, I am skilled and comfortable working with people to tap into their spirituality to cope and grow. I am also comfortable helping people heal from spiritual wounding. While I can help people address a range of emotional challenges, my specialties include: older adults; people with complicated health conditions, their families and caregivers; health care workers; people who have experienced loss or trauma or who are struggling with stress and anxiety.

Originally from New Mexico, I have been fortunate to live in the Pikes Peak region for over 20 years. I live with my wife, our 90-pound prison rescue dog, Monte, my mother-in-law and her three-legged, 9-pound rescue dog, Zoey. I love the outdoors, volunteering in interesting projects, reading science fiction and history.
